In her November 30, 2011, Maine Opinion piece in the Bangor Daily News, PPC Executive Director Ann Woloson encouraged policy makers to achieve federal budget savings by focusing on unnecessary spending on health care services, including prescription drugs. Eliminating wasteful spending could help to trim the budget, while ensuring better quality and value in public health programs.
